As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a vital role in the daily flow of patient intake and level of customer service our patients receive. Although prior medical reception experience is preferred, especially in the eye care field, we will provide you with our extensive and thorough training program even if you have nothing more than a great desire to enter the medical field for the first time. You should be able to communicate professionally, be comfortable working in a medical environment, be highly organized, have a strong customer service background, possess excellent computer and organizational skills, and embody a welcoming / friendly demeanor.
Your schedule will vary, dependent on the operational hours of the office you are assigned to. You must have the flexibility to work within these hours of operation, including occasional
weekends, early mornings, or late evenings as needed.
Responsibilities of the Front Desk Receptionist include, but are not limited to the
following :
- Answer incoming calls and route appropriately
- Provide accurate messaging documentation if applicable
- Greet patients immediately upon arrival and apply the applicable protocols such as
registering new patients, ensuring patient billing and insurance information is accurate,
inform patient of medical office procedures and policies, ensure necessary referral or
patient documents are on file for visit
