Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven District Sales Manager to join our Facades Sales Team. Reporting to Jessica Becerra, Director of Sales-Façades. The District Sales Manager will be managing and directing the Mountain District Sales team to ensure achievement of sales targets assigned to the territories, individually or as a District.
Specific Responsibilities:
•Recommend sales forecast, discount targets, budgeted expenditures, monitor deviations and initiate corrective actions to achieve sales and profit (C2) goals.
•Implement operational company policies and strategies consistent with approved procedures in line with the achievement of company objectives.
•Analyze and report business conditions within the district and recommend actions to immediate superior.
•Select, develop, train and motivate Territory Sales personnel to maximize a productivity level, positive morale, and most effective utilization of individual and group potential.
•Schedule and conduct regular business travel & performance evaluation of direct reports to achieve individual annual developmental goals.
•Align sales territories to ensure optimum market deviation.
•Establish and cultivate Key and New account relationships for further sales growth.
•Direct efforts of sales group in achieving a highly visual position in product specifications.
•Perform AD HOC duties and activities as directed by immediate superior.
•Work with the team to develop quotations and presentations for new business. Provide analysis to show profitability of new account to justify any capital expenditure.
•Ensure active participation of the BU in selected local trade organizations/associations
Qualifications
Education/Experience Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related building products experience and/or
- 5 or more years of successful sales experience selling commodity and value-added, whole solution products to customers within the consumer segment.
- Sales management and market development experience (preferred).
- Sales Experience in the Construction Industry
- Experience Managing Sales Representatives in a Technical or Construction Background
- Capable of motivating sales personnel through organization and goal achievement.
Required Skills:
- Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
- Proven success in developing new business and generating sales leads by managing a territory and selling activities.
- Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
- Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and proprietary software).
- Excellent presentation skills before both small and large groups.
- A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new industry trends and best sales practices and how they would interact with Company products.
- Willingness and ability to work from home office environment and structure a productive day with little to no supervision.
- Strong self-directed organizational skills to organize time effectively on daily and weekly basis.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel overnight.
