Job Description
As an Instrumentation Controls Technician, you will be responsible for the following job responsibilities:
- Documenting, analyzing, and testing computer control systems
- Performing maintenance- and calibration activities on devices and instruments
- Troubleshooting existing equipment and control systems
- Applying systems analysis techniques and procedures
- Managing the Calibration Program
- Providing weekend support to plant operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong electrical background
- Experience with computer systems, programs, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, and PLC's
- Ability to read technical drawings (P & ID's), ladder logic diagrams, and perform instrument calibrations
- Good communication skills
- Experience in ISO 9000 and/or process type industrial facilities
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience or Technical School degree with plus 1 year of experience
- College degree a plus
- Experience with CMMS software and smart instruments a plus
