Job Description
- Load and unloads trucks (flatbeds and vans) with finished goods and raw materials using a forklift or a pallet jack.
- Determines proper material for loading from Pick List.
- Determines proper material for unloading from packing list, stores raw materials and finished goods in proper locations.
- Makes sure that shipments are properly loaded on trucks and that loads are tarped and strapped per company policy.
- Moves material within warehouse from location to location and from Production line to warehouse as required.
- Identifies raw materials via visual observation and use of labels.
- Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly. Assures warehouse and yard are kept in orderly and clean condition.
- Identifies finished goods via substrate, thickness measurement and label.
- Performs daily checklist on forklift and makes sure logs are maintained.
- Locates material in warehouse daily inventory reports.
- Fills forklift propane tanks as required.
- Places tarps on top of loaded trucks with forklift.
- Processes load paperwork, signing out drivers, giving and retaining proper copies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2 years prior shipping/receiving experience in a busy warehouse environment.
- Forklift trained and certified.
