Join our dynamic team and take on exciting challenges in the field of product development, testing, and laboratory housekeeping. We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Assistant to play a vital role in supporting our innovation and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Specific Responsibilities: As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:
- Compound products according to instructions with a high level of independence.
- Collaborate on DOE, design FEMA, and other activities to support the transfer of new products and technologies to the Process group.
- Test laboratory samples, production samples, and competitive samples.
- Work on minor projects with minimal supervision.
- Assist in sample preparation for technical presentations to customers to gain product approval.
- Maintain accurate records of all formulations and test results.
- Prepare progress reports and memos related to assigned tasks or projects.
- Ensure that assigned equipment is well-maintained and in good operating condition.
- Keep assigned work areas and shared workspaces clean and organized.
- Order raw materials and laboratory supplies as directed.
- Properly store raw materials, retains, and reference samples in designated areas.
- Provide support for quality programs, including QS9000, PCP, and PSP processes.
- Participate in company-provided training programs.
- Attend technical presentations by raw material suppliers.
Qualifications/Experience: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- High School Diploma or College degree in General Sciences.
- 2 years of experience in sealants, coatings, adhesives, or cement compounds.
- Strong oral communication and writing skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fundamental knowledge of quality programs, including DOE, QS9000, and Design FEMA.
