We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to work with the Facilities Supervisor to maintain all three building locations in Canton, MA. Ideal candidates will have experience in the following:
· Undertake appropriate repairs and improvements; minor plumbing, changing light bulbs unblocking drains and toilets
· To organize and carry out various maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises is satisfactory
· Undertake regular site inspections and identify and record repair and maintenance requirements liaising with the Facilities Manager
· Ensure that Restrooms are serviced and cleaned and undertake any emergency and specialist cleaning tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager
· Ensure that pathways and all other external hard surface areas are kept clean and clear
· Record meter readings monthly and record on spreadsheet
· Be responsible for maintaining records, information and data
· Assist in safety audits of the premises and contribute to relevant risk assessment activity
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Must know how to use basic hand tools
· Must be able to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
· Able to climb stairs and ladders, work on flat roofs.
