">Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
">Responsible for managing exemption certificates, providing guidance on compliance requirements, and ensuring accurate reporting of indirect taxes. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
">Key Responsibilities:
">• Manage and verify customer exemption certificates to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance to customers and internal stakeholders on exemption certificate procedures and compliance requirements
• Enter exemption certificates into the tax system and maintain up-to-date records
• Process sales tax credits and debits to customer accounts accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with external accounting firms to compile data for indirect tax filings and analyses
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proficiency in SAP and/or QuickBooks, as well as Vertex software
• 2-5 years of experience in sales/use tax, with property tax experience preferred
• Strong understanding of US tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
