We are looking for a highly skilled US Tax Regulations Advisor to join our team at Sika USA.
About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in direct tax compliance, maintaining business and tax licenses, compiling tax schedules for outside accounting firms, and assisting in tax audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal and state tax laws.
- Develop and maintain accurate tax schedules for preparation of tax reporting and returns.
- Work closely with the outside accounting firm to prepare various tax studies and schedules.
- Ensure tax compliance for all Sika companies in the US.
- Prepare and generate tax schedules for the outside accounting firm for tax filings.
- Review and analyze estimates and payments of taxes.
- Review returns with the outside accounting firm.
- Maintain up-to-date tax licenses, annual reports, and business filings.
- Review tax notices for income, franchise, CAT, payroll, and other taxes.
- Support tax audits and meeting the audit requirements including planning, responding to information requests, and addressing all audit findings.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US tax regulations and compliance requirements for Direct taxes, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel. A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax is required.
