Warehouse Shipping/Receiving
Position Summary:
Handles shipping and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pulls and packs orders in a timely manner
- Installs straps, braces and padding to shipments to prevent shifting and damage during shipping
- Processes all shipping labels
- Verifies accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintains inventory of packing/shipping supplies and requests reorders as needed
- Keeps records of all goods shipped and received
- Drives company vehicle to customer locations to deliver products
- Obtains customer signature on company copy, provides customer with receipt
Warehouse:
- Operates forklift, pallet jack and/or other equipment
- Replaces light bulbs, operates floor machine and other cleaning/maintenance needs as necessary
- Examines shipment contents for damage prior to accepting
- Reviews purchase orders or shipping manifests to confirm inbound shipment accuracy
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Adheres to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Time management
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Teamwork
- Knowledge of UPS WorldShip software
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse/shipping department setting
