General Summary:
The ETL Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of ETL processes that facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading into Microsoft Dataverse. This role requires a deep understanding of ETL practices to manage the entire pipeline, ensuring data is accurately extracted from various sources, transformed into a usable format, and loaded into a target system like a data warehouse. The primary goal is to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and ready for analysis and reporting.
Key Essential Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines that extract data from multiple sources, transform it according to business needs, and load it into Microsoft Dataverse.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and ensure that the data processes align with organizational goals.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes, ensuring accuracy, and optimizing performance and scalability.
- Document the ETL process, including data mappings, flows, and optimization steps.
- Ensure data governance and security policies are followed while providing ongoing support and training to end-users.
- ETL Developer key tasks will include:
- Data Extraction: Retrieve data from varied sources like APIs, databases, and flat files.
- Data Transformation: Cleanse, validate, and transform data to fit business needs.
- Data Loading: Ensure efficient loading into target systems.
- Pipeline Design & Optimization: Build robust ETL workflows and optimize data loading for performance.
- Tool Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar platforms.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and high quality.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and document processes.
- Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management, and vendors. Demonstrates the Credit Union s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, and Responsibility.
- Keeps abreast of industry developments including but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree preferred in Computer Information Systems or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in ETL development and data integration, with a strong background in Microsoft Dataverse.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, including query writing, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server and MySQL.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate complex technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and cloud platforms (like Azure) is preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Power Platform and cloud platforms (like Azure) preferred.
- Experience with tools like Fiserv CRM/BI and Fiserv DNA is a plus.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices is a plus.
