Who You Are
As an Emergency Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of emergency preparedness and response to ensure the safety and well-being of our organization and community.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Risk Management : Identify potential hazards and develop comprehensive plans to mitigate and manage risks.
- Equipment Inspection : Oversee inspection programs for emergency equipment, including fire water systems, deluge systems, fire extinguishers, hydrants, SCBAs, communications systems, emergency alarm panels, spill response equipment, and confined space entry and rescue equipment.
- Training : Provide or assist with training on topics such as fall protection, hazard communication, First Aid (CPR / AED), hazardous materials, HAZWOPER, incident command, and required emergency response team trainings.
- Emergency Support : Offer support during facility emergencies to response teams, field or command staff as needed.
- Plan Review : Regularly review and update Emergency Action Plans and response procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory, technical, and operational requirements.
- Collaborative Training : Work with other departments to schedule and document on and off-site emergency response training.
- Resource Management : Develop, maintain, and update all materials associated with emergency preparedness.
- Stakeholder Relations : Foster relationships with city / county departments, municipalities, and neighboring facilities to coordinate response efforts.
- Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting emergency response.
- Incident Review : Prepare or participate in emergency incident reports / critiques to evaluate response efforts and needs.
- Drill Coordination : Develop and conduct emergency preparedness drills for both minor and major emergency situations.
- Additional Duties : Perform other duties and assignments as directed by your manager / supervisor.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
The starting base pay for this role is between $99,000 and $125,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
