Senior Technical Manager, Silicon Photonics
SiLC Technologies is a silicon photonics innovator delivering coherent vision and chip scale FMCW LiDAR solutions that help machines see like humans. We are bringing forth our deep expertise to advance market deployment of coherent 4D imaging solutions across a wide range of industries – including mobility, industrial machine vision, AI robotics, augmented reality, and consumer applications.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Manager/Director who will lead a team of optical design, mask layout and test engineers and drive further innovations in SiLC’s industry-leading silicon photonics integration platform.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Lead a team of engineers to add additional capability to SiLC’s existing silicon photonics platform
- Implement a rigorous design review process and ensure on-time tape out of mask designs
- Maintain and develop partnerships and collaborations with wafer fabs and other external vendors
- Manage test resources and ensure efficient and timely wafer and die level characterization
- Work effectively with the product development team in SiLC to ensure product design requirements are met
- Ensure efficient transfer of designs to manufacturing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in integrated optics/silicon photonics
- At least 5 years industry experience working on integrated photonics products
- Technical knowledge of the design and test of passive, active and WDM integrated optical devices
- Ability to adapt and operate under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
