Position Overview:
Silco Fire & Security is seeking a motivated leader to become our Louisville, KY Advanced Fire Systems (AFS) Supervisor. This is a working position initially that will also include performing field work. This position will oversee fire alarm and sprinkler inspections, repairs, and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Build a team of fire protection technicians as the workload grows.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks work closely with the Scheduling team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Field Work
- Initially, this position will be responsible for field work on fire alarms and sprinkler systems, including inspection, service, and some project work while coordinating the use of other resources from adjacent branches on larger work.
- Sales & Sales Support
- Provide support to the fire inspection sales team as needed.
- Quote larger repairs that require a site survey.
- Inspection and Maintenance:
- Oversee the inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, and suppression systems.
- Ensure all inspections and maintenance are performed accurately and on time.
- Conduct field inspections to verify the quality and completeness of work performed by the team.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during service calls and inspections.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with fire protection systems.
- Stay updated with the latest fire protection technologies and best practices.
- Customer Service:
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with customers to schedule inspections and services.
- Provide detailed reports and documentation of inspections and services performed.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all fire protection systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies as required.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing technicians.
- Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures, inspection techniques, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications:
- Technical skills and licenses to perform service on fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of fire protection systems and related regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in using inspection and maintenance software
