Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Sprinkler Inspection and Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct inspections on fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems in commercial buildings according to NFPA standards and local codes.
2. Perform testing, maintenance, and service tasks to ensure systems are operational and compliant with NFPA standards and local building codes.
3. Perform Troubleshooting and service on fire sprinkler systems, including valves system components, pumps, and related fire alarm equipment.
4. Repair or replace faulty components and equipment to restore system functionality.
5. Document all inspections, tests, and repairs accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
6. Communicate effectively with customers to explain findings, recommendations, and service options.
7. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
8. Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to fire sprinkler systems.
9. Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Kentucky Fire Sprinkler Inspector License (required) or equivalent NICET Level 2
• Kentucky Fire Alarm Inspector License (preferred) or equivalent NICET Level 2
• Backflow license preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler and fire alarm system inspection and service.
• Proficient understanding of NFPA codes and standards, as well as local fire safety regulations.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm and sprinkler system components.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
