Position Overview:

Silco Fire & Security is seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager to elevate our Kitchen Suppression/Fire Extinguisher Division to the next level. This position will require a skilled manager to oversee the efficient operation and delivery of kitchen suppression system installations, FE sales, inspections, and maintenance services. As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence within our Kitchen Suppression/ F.E. Division.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians and support staff involved in kitchen suppression system operations and fire extinguisher services. This includes Kitchen Suppression and Fire Extinguisher.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market share in kitchen and fire extinguisher services.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of system installations, inspections, and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of service quality and safety.
• Customer Relations:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
• Resource Management:
• Manage inventory levels, equipment, and resources effectively to support operational requirements and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline workflows.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to incorporate into operations where applicable.
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a focus on kitchen suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of success in operations management, project management, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing priorities effectively.
