Position Description
The Machine Shop Shift Supervisor is an impactful position at SilencerCo. Lead the SilencerCo Machine Shop to champion monthly production goals, comply with safety standards, and motivate the Machine Shop team. You would be responsible to lead all Machine Shop Shift employees, production part flow, and have in-depth knowledge of machining practices and procedures. You will drive organizational objectives through KPI's and pilot improvement projects based on performance. Job Responsibilities
- Leads the Machine Shop Team and participates as a team player in all phases of the organization with the same expectation for all Shop employees
- Ability to work with employees across all levels including planning, R&D, Maintenance, Supply Chain, AME, QC, and Human Resources
- Train employees in the proper use of equipment, enforce safety regulations, assign tasks, and oversee employees' work
- Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and OSHA standards
- Recruits, hires and trains qualified personnel; assigns work schedules, resolves employee grievances, disciplines, and conducts annual performance reviews
- Assist Machine Shop Management to develop a career development path for positions in the Machine Shop
- Maintain time and production records
- Analyze work orders to determine production part flow
- Confere with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
- Conduct process audits to see gaps in value being delivered.
- Track Non-Conforming Returns and drive improvement to satisfy our internal customers.
- Assist Shop Manager tracking Key Performance Indicators throughout the Machine Shop. Support Cell Leads with tracking KPIs.
- Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and OSHA standards.
- Participate in organizational performance evaluations, and support management and Cell Leads complete successful skill verification of Operators. Responsible for assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees
- Other duties may be assigned

- Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- 3 years of management experience, demonstrated ability to achieve results
- 2 years of machining experience, or a related field
