What you’ll do:
Team Coordination: Oversee and guide a team of mechanics, electricians, machinists, millwrights, and machine operators. Oversee training, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of safety, production management, and teamwork.
Safety and Efficiency: Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize production throughput and efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and optimize manufacturing operations.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Address breakdowns promptly, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions, and perform timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
Documentation and Reporting: Document standard work and best practices, maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, and prepare reports on maintenance performance, including downtime, repair costs, and equipment reliability.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with production and operations management team members to identify and address equipment issues and explore opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Statistical Process Control: Apply SPC methods to monitor, control, and optimize production quality and efficiency.
Stay Updated: Keep up with technological advancements and industry trends in manufacturing machinery and maintenance practices.
What you need:
Associate degree from a technical trade school or a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance supervision within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and machine operating equipment.
Ability to operate in a lean manufacturing environment using tools like 5S and other continuous improvement methods.
Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related programming software.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for maintenance tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
