Job Description

A top-tier developer is seeking a Senior Superintendent with expertise in managing construction projects for multi-family housing, apartments, hotels, or assisted living facilities . This role involves leading the on-site construction team to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We are looking for candidates with a strong construction background, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Pre-Construction Management :

Oversee and manage pre-construction activities, including planning, budgeting, and collaborating with consultants and design teams.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all necessary permits, documentation, and approvals are secured.

Construction Oversight :

Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and oversee weekly reporting to monitor progress.

Lead and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and project staff to ensure seamless operations and adherence to deadlines.

Establish and maintain site safety protocols in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to avoid delays or budget overruns.

Team Leadership :

Direct, supervise, and mentor on-site project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Provide strategic guidance to ensure all team members are aligned with project goals and expectations.

Stakeholder Communication :

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders.

Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure resource availability and pricing efficiency.

Deliver comprehensive progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, detailing milestones, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications :

Experience with multi-family, apartments, hotels, or assisted living construction projects .

Expertise in wood frame construction , TYPE III , and TYPE II building types.

Background in project management with an affordable housing developer , general contractor , or construction management firm .

Established relationships within the local subcontractor community .

Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Procore .

A results-driven mindset with a proven ability to meet business objectives and accountability standards.
