Position: Intern, Project Development
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Overview: The Project Development team at Silicon Ranch is looking to hire a candidate for an in-person, paid internship (or course, credit available in lieu of pay).
This position is responsible for supporting Silicon Ranch’s early, mid and late-stage development of utility-scale solar projects before construction. Working closely with the Project Development team on all aspects of projects, including local and environmental permitting, contract management, budgeting, schedule, risk assessment, internal project controls, reporting and interface with some external parties.
Some travel opportunities for this role may be available. Travel time will fluctuate depending on project stages, but is not expected to exceed 20-25% of intern’s time.

- Supporting internal coordination efforts with legal, finance & accounting, project delivery, interconnection, and economic & community development teams
- Interfacing with external consultants and contractors to solicit proposals for site due diligence efforts
- Project budget creation and other internal tracking and reporting of project costs and updates
- Reviewing and drafting of land agreements and other real estate documents
- Supporting local, state and federal permitting efforts as well as community and public engagement events and activities
- Identification, quantification, and management of risks throughout all stages of project development
- Various aspects of market and policy research for new generation opportunities while evaluating power market trends and conducting desktop analyses and synthesizing research for Silicon Ranch’s leadership
- Interpreting technical engineering and environmental reports and studies to determine project impact and pertinence towards application requirements
- Special Projects as may be identified
