Job Description
Position: Manager, Compensation & Benefits
Location: Remote
Overview:
As the manager of Compensation and Benefits you will focus your efforts on ensuring Silicon Ranch remains an employer of choice, offering a robust and well-organized Total Rewards Program, while ensuring alignment with the Silicon Ranch’s values and company culture, helping to attract and retain top industry talent.
Additionally, this role supports Employee Engagement, the New Hire Experience and Employee Onboarding functions, as well as Payroll and the backend mechanics of all elements of compensation and benefits. This role requires regular analyzation, development, and refinement of all total rewards offerings adding to the Employee Value Proposition.
Main Responsibilities:
- Best-in-class Employee Value Proposition
- Contribute to the development of our annual total rewards strategy
- Effectively work with benefits vendors and benefits broker
- Effectively coordinate benefits and manage enrollment/termination of benefits
- Manage Open Enrollment
- Gather and manage data points around employee satisfaction or dissatisfaction of benefits
- Aggregate actionable data and present well-supported proposals for TR Strategy refinement
- Assist with development and refinement of Silicon Ranch’s Rewards and Recognition Program
- Answer employee compensation and benefits-related questions
- Employee Experience
- Continuously work to improve the employee experience, focused on employee engagement and satisfaction
- Manage Engagement Surveys
- Ensure the best possible new hire experience
- Manage employee onboarding
- Gather and manage data regarding new hire surveys
- Regularly leverage obtained actionable data to present well-supported proposals to refine the New Hire Experience and Employee Onboarding
- Payroll
- Review and approve (not input) accurate payroll running on multiple cycles
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations as they pertain to personnel actions, raises, promotions, bonuses, and termination of employment
Reporting: Sr. Director, HR Operations
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Total Rewards
- Knowledge of payroll and payroll processing (preferably SOX complaint experience)
- Ability to effectively manage benefits brokers and benefits vendors
- Very knowledgeable around employee benefits
- Very knowledgeable regarding rewards & recognitions programs
- Adaptable and readily accepting of change with the ability to effectively pivot
- Strong cross-functional capabilities
- The ability to effectively implements processes, obtain buy-in and ensure process/workflow adoption
Experience:
- Basic
- High school degree or equivalent
- 5 years of Total Rewards or Compensation and Benefits experience
- 5 years of HRIS experience
- 2 years’ experience directly supervising staff
- Experience directly processing payroll
- Preferred
- B.S in HR, Business, or similar discipline
- 8 years of Total Rewards or Compensation and Benefits experience
- 8 years of HRIS experience
- 3 years’ experience directly supervising staff
- Experience reviewing and approving payroll
