We are looking to hire engineers to support our growth in Silicon Photonics Process Development and fully Automated Active Alignment. We are located in Santa Clara, CA, provides Assembly & Design services with 100% Turnkey Solutions for Silicon Photonics, LiDAR, AI/ML, SiP, Sensors, and innovative devices.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Silicon Photonics Process Development Engineer at Silitronics Solutions Inc in Santa Clara, CA. The Engineer will be responsible for processes development, process engineering, research and development (R&D), and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or physics.
- Experience with hands-on projects and/or production floors.
- Some knowledge of CAD such as Solidworks for designing simple tools.
- Good communication and project management skills for tracking deliverables.
- Some experience with machine automation and ability to understand computer logic principles.
- Working understanding of basic electrical engineering tools such as a multimeter or power supply.
- Fresh engineering graduates are encouraged to apply who are fast learner and committed to excellence.
Selected candidates would be taught the basics of silicon photonics manufacturing, effective process development DOEs and train to operate fully automated active alignment systems. The role is highly multi-disciplinary, requiring engineers to interacting with customers to discuss specification before providing any solutions, designing, and building custom manufacturing setups, and writing machine automation scripts to assemble PIC and other photonics components like laser, lens, FAU (fiber array), etc. Applicants should be excited to work on open-ended problems, tinker with machines and physical parts, and become an expert in an emerging field. This position is in-person in Santa Clara, CA with no possibility of remote or hybrid work.
