Asset Specialist

Overview

Silotech Group, Inc., a leader in providing innovative solutions in cybersecurity, cloud technology, and managed security services, is seeking a detail-oriented Asset Specialist to join our team. The Asset Specialist will play a critical role in managing and tracking company and client assets, ensuring accountability, compliance, and efficiency. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Silotech’s mission to deliver excellence to our government and commercial clients. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Asset Management:
   • Model Silotech’s Asset management program to meet and exceed federal asset management standards such as IT Asset Management (ITAM) or ISO 19770.
   • Track and maintain the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning. 
   • Ensure accurate records in asset management systems and ensure data integrity.
   • Monitor inventory levels and facilitate timely replenishment or disposal in compliance with company policies and client requirements.
     
     
2. Compliance and Reporting:
   • Conduct regular audits of assets to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with client and government regulations.
   • Prepare detailed asset reports for internal and external stakeholders, including usage, status, and compliance metrics.
   • Ensure all assets are properly tagged, labeled, and recorded in asset tracking tools.
     
     
3. Procurement Support:
   • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and acquire assets in alignment with project and operational needs.
   • Assist in vendor and supplier management to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
     
     
4. Process Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve asset management workflows.
   • Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies, standards, and best practices.

1. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and clients to align asset management efforts with operational objectives.
   • Provide support and guidance on asset management systems and processes to internal teams.
     
     
2. Risk Management:
   • Mitigate risks related to lost or untracked assets by enforcing accountability and maintaining proper documentation.
   • Support cybersecurity and compliance teams in ensuring all IT assets meet security requirements and guidelines.

Qualifications 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working with government contracts or in a DoD environment.
• Familiarity with IT hardware, software, and licensing.
• Knowledge of federal asset management standards such as IT Asset Management (ITAM) or ISO 19770.
• Certifications in asset management or related areas (e.g., Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional - CHAMP).
