Silver Airways is hiring a Part-Time Facilities Technician & Driver. As a Facilities Technician, you will perform routine maintenance and oversee the interior and exterior of our facilities. This is a part-time position.
This position is responsible for grounds maintenance, routine facility repairs, office cleaning, and driving / delivering parts, employees, packages, etc. The right candidate will be experienced in general repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and light construction in commercial buildings. They should be skilled in a wide range of areas but will also recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance and repairs on compressed air systems, portable equipment, doors, ramp area, and building lighting to ensure equipment is safe to operate; promptly identify and correct any hazards
- Perform basic electrical repairs
- Repair floors, stairs, and piping as needed
- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building
- Basic HVAC knowledge and skills to maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems
- Ability to safely use common power and hand tools
- Experience installing and replacing basic plumbing
- Monitor property and grounds to ensure and maintain a neat and upkept appearance
- Maintain floors clean and debris-free, including halls, hangar, restrooms, and walkways
- Ensure the maintenance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, ramp, lighting, and parking lots
- Assist in monitoring facility, fire extinguishing system, and other procedures as required
- Maintain trash and recycling receptacles
- Notify Maintenance Manager of any unsafe conditions and communicate regularly with supervisor regarding daily tasks and pending projects
