As the Rolling Stock Mechanic, you will be a vital member at one of our Alaskan processing facilities responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of rolling stock, such as Flatbeds, Forklifts, and company vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting any mechanical and electrical problems, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safety and reliability of rolling stock equipment. Your expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues will be essential in keeping our equipment operational and minimizing downtime.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Position requires onsite presence at one of our Alaska processing facilities, and the ability to travel, including at times to remote locations.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of rolling stock systems.
- Ensure adherence to all State and Federal regulations pertaining to rolling stock maintenance.
- Efficiently track all parts and inventory control for all facility vehicles.
- Ensure all State and Federal regulations are met.
- Maintain accurate records of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of rolling stock.
- Keep a well-organized and maintained workspace to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the facility and organization is fully supported and successful.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
- Position requires driven machinery certifications such as a forklift, expeditor or flatbed truck which in turn requires a valid driver’s license.
- 3 years of forklift mechanic experience in all aspects including electrical preferred.
- Certifications in relevant areas, such as diesel engine mechanics or electrical maintenance, can enhance job prospects.
- Previous experience in Seafood or Manufacturing as receptionist or administrative role preferred.
