Essential Functions/Qualifications
The responsibilities of the position include the following:
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. This includes landline and VoIP phones, handheld VHF/UHF radios, and CCTV systems.
Oversee the daily performance of servers, software, and the network.
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial action taken, including records of installation activities.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems.
Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, and server function.
Assist senior-level administrators with daily tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned to ensure the facility and organization is fully supported and successful.

Seafood or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Schedule
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The position requires an onsite presence at one of our Alaska processing facilities and the ability to travel, including, at times, to remote locations. This position may require long hours to ensure adequate support for facility operations. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights, as the role may involve accessing equipment in elevated locations.
Physical Demands
While performing the essential functions and job duties associated with the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position may require the use of ladders, scissor lifts, and/or telescopic boom lifts to access equipment.

The employee is frequently required to set an example by consistently modeling ambitious standards of honesty and integrity. Presentation and sharing of information should be handled directly, appropriately, and helpfully. Maintains a reputation for honesty, confidentiality, reliability, and fairness.
