About Silver Care Dementia Center: Silver Care Dementia Center (SCDC) is dedicated to providing compassionate care and innovative programs for people living with dementia and their care partners. In the spring of 2025, we are proud to expand our services to include evening and night respite care, offering vital support to caregivers and enhancing the quality of life for our participants.
Position Summary: SCDC seeks a dynamic and experienced Respite Center Manager to lead our evening/night respite care program. This key role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance, fostering engaging environments, and working closely with families to provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision: Oversee and monitor the performance of nurse assistants and ensure high-quality care for participants.
- Activity Planning: Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to individuals living with dementia to promote enrichment and well-being.
- Care Partner Support: Conduct intake meetings with care partners to assess needs and build trusting relationships.
- Staffing: Recruit, hire, and train staff as needed; oversee and coordinate with volunteers.
- Compliance: Ensure the program adheres to adult day care regulations and meets all local, state, and federal requirements.
- Reporting: Regularly report to the Directors on operations, compliance, and participant outcomes.
- Scheduling: Work a flexible, rotating schedule to accommodate program needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dementia care or working with dementia populations.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of college education in human services, nursing, social work, or a related field.
- Experience in long-term care settings preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally if needed.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Commitment to continuing education (must complete annual CE credits).
