The Silver Cloud Hotel - Seattle Broadway is hiring a Director of Food and Beverage to oversee all food and beverage operations including our restaurant, Jimmy’s on Broadway – located on the corner of Broadway and Madison. Jimmy’s offers upscale Pacific Northwest dining in a casual and energetic environment featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the Food & Beverage operations (restaurant/bar, room service, banquet department).

Key responsibilities include:

· Minimum three years food and beverage management experience desired, preferably in a hotel environment

· Ability to work varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

· Implement effective food, beverage and labor cost controls

· Maximize food and beverage department profitability

· Budgeting and forecasting experience

· Hire, train, supervise and discipline food and beverage management, supervisory and front-line team members.

· Develop, implement and monitor standard operating procedures to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and quality control

· Develop and implement operational schedules

· Assist the chef in menu creation, costing and implementation

· Creation and merchandising of promotions to attract appropriate customer demographic

· Review and evaluate customer satisfaction

· Ability to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations

This is a “hands on” position requiring a background in restaurant and banquet/catering operations, preferably in a hotel environment. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage operations and must set the standard for an exceptional dining experience. In this role consistency, details, teamwork, attitude and presentation are extremely important.
