Project Manager
Salary Range: $115,000 to $150,000 Depending on Experience
Position Description
Seeking an experienced construction project manager who is responsible for overseeing several different types of construction projects. They will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits and project management methodology. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail- oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay within budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Facilitate permitting processes with local building/ planning departments.
· Prepare submittals, estimates, create RFIs, scheduling meetings, etc.
· Lead weekly site meetings for coordinating with Superintendents, Foreman, and Subcontractors.
· Support project close-out activities, ensuring all deliverables are completed.
· Proven experience managing construction projects preferred. A strong understanding of project management methodologies is required.
· A wide range of knowledge on construction methods, materials and legal regulations. Should be familiar with building codes and safety standards.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
· Five (5) years of experience as Project Manager. A combination of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager or Estimator will be considered.
· Strong proficiency in reading architectural drawings, contract documents, and schedules.
· Knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and risk management.
· Proficiency in Procore, Pro Contractor, MS Project, MS Office 365.
· Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
· Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
· Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
· Leadership and Team Management: Though soft skills, these are just as important as hard ones. Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others and guide diverse teams are essential.
· Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The right candidate will have the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
· Problem- Solving Skills: The candidate must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They should be adept at resolving conflicts and finding creative solutions.
· Time Management: Must be able to prioritize work, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
· Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and resolve disputes.
· Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools, such as AutoCAD, BIM, etc.
· Professional certifications, such as PMP, LEED, and OSHA, are highly desirable.
