What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Aide position at Silver Creek CSD?
Duties: Aid school teachers in the performance of their teaching functions by performing varied duties associated with the teaching process doing related work as required.
- assist students in the use of instructional materials
- work with students in small groups or one-on-one basis as needed such as in a study hall or during a lunch period
- perform such other services as support teaching duties when such services are determined and supervised by teachers
- provide direct assistance to students within the educational setting, including but not limited to classroom, gymnasium, pool, and playground, to enable students to fully participate in activities and complete assignments.
- assist students in moving throughout the school environment, providing students physical assistance as necessary in standing, walking, and stair climbing.
- assist students, as necessary, in all ADL (activities of daily living) including dressing, feeding, and toileting.
- aid teachers in the correction of test papers, recording of grades, maintaining files, preparing statistical reports, etc.
