It’s the way you want to be treated. Position Summary: Greets and assists customers with good selection and purchase; maintains a well stocked, clean, secure shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains an adequate supply of candy and other items Informs gift shop buyers of requested items Communicates with gift shop member volunteers on clerical and supply needs; and other issues Maintains a clean and neat shop Reports to the Director of Volunteers Maintains knowledge of shop inventory Displays knowledge of life safety issues for the area Monitors shop and cameras to promote a secure area Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct Required Qualifications: Education and Training: High School student in good academic standing or High School Graduate. Good math skills. Cash register knowledge and previous retail /sales experience preferred.
