What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Imaging Manager position at Silver Cross Hospital?
Summary:
Responsible for coordination, quality, delivery, and day-to-day operations of medical imaging services to the inpatient and outpatient populations. Works with all areas within Silver Cross to provide the highest level of service possible to patients. Promotes and maintains a positive work environment while developing and fostering growth opportunities for staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operations of imaging services: US, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and PET services
- Collaborates with imaging leadership to support all imaging modalities and department functions
- Manages department staffing within budget working with the modality supervisors
- Collects quality data and reports on the status of outcome metrics
- Maintains department’s integrity with regulatory and compliance standards
- Coordinates, facilitates, and promotes education, training, and competency assessment of staff
- Organizes performance improvement initiatives in coordination with the organization’s goals
- Perform functions using hospital computer systems and organization’s processes
- Adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
- Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
- Collaborates with Leadership to meet the organizations metrics: quality, safety, financial, customer service
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- IEMA licensure and/or licensure/certification in an advanced imaging field
- ARRT certified in Illinois
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
