Summary : The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre and post-surgical patients of all ages. The nurse is responsible for the care of patients in all-surgical specialties. The same day surgery nurse assesses overall anesthesia recovery and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.
Requirements : Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. BLS. Previous outpatient experience required (preferably in the perioperative area). Must exhibit valuable time management skills, strong critical thinking / problem solving skills, and flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
