Position Summary: Responsible for timely acquisition of a wide variety of implants used in the Surgical environment. Works closely with the Surgery Scheduling Manager to understand what implants are needed. Maintains the inventory of owned implants. Run daily inventory reports and interpret corresponding data to determine appropriate action. Is responsible for the coordination of adding supplies to the HIS Dictionaries. Provides backup for the Supply Chain Manager. Responsible for perpetual inventory integrity and routine cycle counts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Replenishes implant inventory as needed
- Assist with putting stock away whether it is newly received or returned unused from the OR.
- Create purchase orders for routine and emergent supplies.
- Follow up on back order issues and product substitutions, soliciting input from the Clinical end-users
- Responsible for the Timms System (tissue management) JCAHO requirement
- Updates the Cerner system with Vendor information
- Update the ERP systems with new product additions and conversions
- Works closely with Vendors and Surgery staff on bill-only invoicing, pricing validation and contract compliance.
- Conduct quarterly cycle counts
- Maintain the inventory on-hand integrity
- Generates usage trend reports that are then shared with Executive Team members.
- Works to establish and maintain consigned inventory
- Monitor usage trends and works closely with the Procedural Inventory Lead to update the ERP system
- Monitor product expiration dates and take appropriate remediation.
- Run daily stock replenishment reports and take appropriate actions.
- Monitors product recalls taking appropriate action and communicating to those that may be impacted
- Participates in the Product Evaluation committees.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- College coursework with business concentration, BA preferred; or a minimum of 2 years Supply Chain experience required.
- Two years progressive experience in a Purchasing department or prior O.R. experience in a clinical or Supply Chain capacity.
- Must have strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently & as a team.
- Good oral & written communication skills, problem solver and results driven.
- Must be able to work with all levels of providers (clinical/non-clinical), including physicians.
- Proficient in the use of Workday, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The expected pay for this position is listed below:
$20.33 - $25.41
