Purpose of Position:
As an EMS Supervisor at OMC (Ozark Mountain Country) properties, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and employees by providing swift emergency medical care and overseeing its delivery according to OMC EMS Protocols and State Standards of Care. You will also support occupational health programs to uphold the highest level of safety standards across our properties, benefiting from the insights of team members who bring a wealth of experience to their roles at varying licensure levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Medical Care:
- Provide immediate and effective emergency medical care to guests and employees, including training employees on emergency response procedures.
- Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury and determine appropriate protocols.
- Establish the need for outside medical resources, such as ambulances or physicians, when necessary.
- Supervision: Supervise the daily operation of EMS services at all OMC properties to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Occupational Health Programs: Coordinate and oversee EMS and Occupational Health programs, including but not limited to EMRA Licensing, CQI Program, Pre-Employment Health & Safety Review, Employee Rechecks and Follow-up, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and CLIA Compliance.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage EMS resources, including developing and maintaining schedules, inventory control, and operating within a specified budget.
- Staff Development: Provide proficiency training, coaching, and follow disciplinary procedures when necessary to ensure all team members meet the highest standards of care.
- Knowledge and Compliance: Stay current on department and industry guidelines, protocols, procedures, and equipment to maintain compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare required reports and maintain accurate records of activities and patient contacts to ensure accountability and compliance.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance and cleanliness tasks for First Aid vehicles, offices, and resources to uphold hygiene and readiness standards.
- Guest and Employee Interaction: Greet and direct guests and employees effectively through face-to-face interactions, radio communication, and written reports.
- Adaptability: Be comfortable working in all weather conditions and handle ongoing priority changes efficiently during emergency situations.

Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible, with a willingness to learn from others and continuously improve practices.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and master new software applications and navigate web-based platforms.
Required Experience:
- Possession of a current Missouri Paramedic license or RN (Registered Nurse) with ER (Emergency Room) experience is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience as a Paramedic or RN.
- Preferred experience in previous occupational training or management roles.
- A valid Missouri class E driver's license or commercial equivalent of another state is required for this position.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
