Summary: Provide positive support to Finance Leadership and all OMC Properties through accurate and efficient completion of reconciliations, analysis, budgets, forecasts and projects related to revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Provide leadership to Finance and Operating Teams through timely analysis and financial support. Serve as a Financial Liaison for Branson properties; SDC Divisions as assigned; and for property management with Corporate Finance.
  • Provide timely analysis and financial support to Finance and OMC leadership members.
  • Provide training and advice as needed regarding financial policies and procedures, GAAP, and other accounting practices. Ensure accounting records are maintained and procedures are adhered to according to Corporate Accounting Procedures and GAAP.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for profit improvement, expense controls and operational processes/efficiencies.
  • Conduct general ledger/P&L reviews each period end as assigned and assist divisions and properties in preparation and review of P&L forecasts.
  • Prepare and coordinate budget process to include developing targets, reviews with divisions and preparation of budget review packages.
  • Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Practice servant leadership; flex leadership, professional management skills, and consultative and participative decision-making skills.
  • Ensure internal controls are designed and functioning in compliance with corporate policy and procedures, with deviations identified and corrective action taken.
  • Assist in ticket revenue reconciliation process daily based on activity and analysis to ensure proper revenue has been recognized or deferred.
  • Assist in ticket request and approval process, including preparation or review of proper product setup and assigned taxes.
  • Learn the intricacies of all related systems/software.
  • Constantly explore additional controls for audit and compliance with all procedures and policies.
  • Address trends and provide solutions for irregularities in sales processing.
  • Complete projects and financial analysis as assigned by Senior Accounting Manager.
  • Assist in Accounting Period & Year End closing. Cross training in assigned aspects of financial closings and analysis.
  • Analyze major accounts and prepares Period End reconciliation to general ledger.
  • Provide training and advice as needed regarding financial policies and procedures, GAAP, and other accounting practices.
  • Provide other support to Operational Management as needed, insuring accurate and timely information is provided.
  • Insure accounting records are maintained/reconciled and procedures are adhered to according to Corporate Accounting Procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Provide back-up support to other Finance Team Members as assigned. Assist in development and documentation of procedures.

Required Education and Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or minimum two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and/or ability to learn (based on previous job experience): JD Edwards and AS400 accounting software, Paperwise, Blackline, Vivaticket ticketing systems, POS systems such as Simphony and Pronto, Report Manager, SMART database software and BEARS audit application.

  • Employee must be able to climb and descent steps on an employee shuttle bus based on parking assignment. Walking up and down steps, uneven and sloped surfaces including to and from assigned employee parking located at the Park’s perimeter and employees’ assigned work station. Distance should be no greater than .5 miles one way.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.
