Silver Dollar City - Attractions Safety Trainer, Giant Swing (Full-Time Seasonal 2025)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Summary: Providing Legendary Guest Service to our guests by performing the following duties: safely loading guests and operating a theme park ride; resolving guest concerns; and performing assigned, specific safety tasks.

Training Responsibilities: Include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

• Must be able to train new employees in compliance with company policies, using training outlines, training trackers, manuals and quizzes, effectively evaluating their progress
• Must be willing to train employees with varying levels of experience and aptitude
• Must remain focused, open to questions and suggestions, be willing to answer (or use resources to answer) all questions posed by trainees, and reiterate information/training as often as needed within reason
• Must demonstrate a high level of commitment to the safety of the operation, the employees and the guests
• Trainers will be held to a high standard of conduct, as they are often viewed by team members as an example of proper safe and respectable behavior, and as a decision-making authority. They are responsible to report any concerns to team lead, PIC, or supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to assist the Attractions team.

• Interact with guests to ensure a safe, fast and friendly operation
• Must be able to resolve guest concerns in a friendly, non-offensive manner without deviating from safety procedures
• Tests equipment daily per safety training prior to opening ride to guests
• Gives directions to riders and guests over microphone regarding safety instructions and operation of rides
• Observes riders while boarding ride vehicle to ensure safe and proper seating
• Informs riders to fasten belt, bar, or other safety device
• Checks to ensure safety restraints are secured for each rider before dispatching ride
• Manipulates controls to start and stop rides
• Remains alert and attentive at all times while the ride is in operation
• Responsible to maintain cleanliness of assigned work area, to include: daily cleaning tasks, removal of trash, refueling and using small power equipment to remove natural debris and cleaning bodily fluid waste as necessary
• Team Members are also responsible for reporting any potential safety hazards in their work area
• Responsible to train new employees in compliance with company policies

• Assigns duties to all team members for the purpose of providing Legendary Guest Service
• Assists Leadership Team to ensure both guest and employee needs are met

Certificates and Licenses: Must be able to obtain and maintain an American Heart Association Basic Life Saving Certification.

  • Walk: Up and down steps, uneven and sloped surfaces, including to and from assigned employee parking located at the parks perimeter and employees assigned work station. Distance should be no greater than .5 miles one way.
  • Climb: Up and down stairs/ladders, uneven and sloped surfaces. Be able to climb and descend steps on an employee shuttle bus based on parking assignment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
