Job Summary: The Sales Manager will play a key role in strengthening our presence in the benefits market. This individual will engage new business accounts, while also managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients. The role requires proactive outbound sales efforts, managing contracts, overseeing the payment process, and ensuring that all departments are aligned for successful event execution.
As a liaison between our clients and on-park teams, the Sales Manager will ensure that all special events meet expectations and uphold our brand’s values. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and work closely with marketing and other departments to ensure that sales and marketing strategies are aligned with the company’s goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct sales support for all Silver Dollar City Attractions.
  • Actively engage in local and regional corporate networking circles to generate new leads and business.
  • Support existing and new marketing initiatives for all corporate programs, including outings, benefit programs, and season passes.
  • Aggressively prospect new events and groups through cold calls, trade shows, and social events while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Maintain daily communication with key accounts and decision-makers to identify future business opportunities, while ensuring thorough follow-up on RFP requests.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional content for company-funded programs.
  • Represent the company and actively engage with industry organization events and trade shows such as SAHRA and SHRM to build industry connections and identify potential business leads.
  • Lead site visits and FAM tours to showcase our brand and offerings to prospective clients.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and execute proposals, contracts, and maintain clear communication internally and externally.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Parks and Showboat facilities to effectively communicate the full brand experience to clients.
  • Utilize internal sales systems for tracking and reporting.
  • Stay updated on product changes to ensure accurate representation of the attractions.
  • Develop and implement event action plans aligned with core values and sales goals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of special events, collaborating with food & beverage, event technology, and operations teams to deliver flawless events.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activities, ensuring alignment with set goals.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the company’s core culture initiatives.
  • Foster teamwork, provide training, and support hosts across various departments to ensure event success.

  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally to represent the company at conventions and trade shows.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferably a college degree in marketing or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in corporate account management role
  • Experience in B2B and B2C account management roles
  • Experience with contract management
  • Experience with common office software such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
  • Proven ability to achieve positive financial results from current and prospective clients in previous roles.
  • Stable work history with a focus on customer satisfaction and exceeding sales goals.
  • Expertise in delivering compelling sales presentations both in-person and virtually.
  • Experience in maintaining strong client relationships via written and oral communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other sales-related tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams to execute special projects and duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
  • Regular travel required, including the ability to operate motor vehicles for site visits and client meetings.
  • Frequent communication, both in person and via phone, to support ongoing sales activities and customer inquiries.
  • Physical demands include the ability to move around the worksite, including climbing stairs, bending, and lifting 5-20 pounds.
