Silver Falls School District is seeking an individual experienced in school district finance to join our Business Services team as a Controller!
The Controller is resposible for assisting the Director of Finance and Operations in leading functions of the Fiscal Services Department in support of the financial well-being of the district. They are also responsible for developing and administering financial systems, processes and internal controls that provide reasonable assurance the district’s financial objectives of reliable reporting, protection of assets and effective and efficient operations are achieved.
This position will plan, organize and review various financial accounting activities, including general ledger, financial reporting, payroll, liabilities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and business information management systems. The district Controller will lead the annual and interim audit processes, prepare financial reports, assist with the annual budget process, organize and facilitate risk management, and manage the District’s use of finance and accounting-related technology.
