The Location Manager is responsible for the operation of the entire store, including managing and supporting the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors and other location support staff. General duties include responsibility for day to day operations, serving customers, supporting direct reports in their personal and professional development, staffing the location, managing profitability of sales, ensuring the general smooth operations of the facility, maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the location and operation of the store, and responsible for location project management.
Job Duties:
- Create an exceptional experience for team members to thrive by looking for solutions, creating engagement, facilitating effective communication and being the calming presence in the building
- Understand, and track production and sales
- Develop, implement and communicate a production plan based on capacities
- Ensure workflow is managed timely
- Ensure proper communication channels are being used between sales and production staff
- Assist and empower Service Advisor team in meeting their goals and metrics
- Own Gross Profit of the location through proper parts and labor margins as well as inventory management
- Monitor Total Shop Productivity
- Ensure proper staffing and coverage
- Interview candidates to build a bench of future employees
- Provide training opportunities for team members
- Hire, train, and lead location staff
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with staff to support, empower and ensure cohesiveness of location culture and goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional location appearance
- Maintain personal professional image
- Ensure loaner vehicles are clean, safe and good working condition for customers
- Manage inventory and building supplies and resources
