Job Summary
The Credit Analyst will join an existing Credit Team to maintain the bank's high quality credit standards. The position will be based out of our main office in Topeka.
The Credit Analyst will primarily be involved in analysis of commercial loan opportunities, including evaluation of business owners and guarantors. The position involves exposure to and interaction with small business customers of varying sizes and complexity in a broad range of industries. This position will work alongside our team of loan officers to serve a key role in the maintenance and continued growth of the Bank’s valued long-term customer relationships.
Salary Range listed is approximate. Level of pay is determined based on individual candidate experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform Credit Analysis including Trailing Twelve-Month Cash Flow and DSCR Calculations using source documents including but not limited to entity financial statements, individual and business tax returns, and credit reports.
- Prepare Loan Presentations summarizing credit analysis performed, loan terms, loan/customer specific background information and due diligence.
- Engage with existing and prospective loan customers to request and receive necessary documents.
- Measure and manage the risk of the Bank's loan portfolio through performance of ongoing credit reviews of existing and new loan relationships.
- Serve as a voting member of the Bank’s Loan Committee in evaluating new loan originations.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Accounting/Finance background with proven finance and analytical experience (2-3 years minimum preferred)
- Read and interpret business financial statements and tax returns.
- Concisely summarize analytical findings in both verbal and written format.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Customer-centered attitude.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately.
- Desire to work in a goal-oriented environment with active participation and ownership.
- Experience in Microsoft Office and specifically Excel and Word.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
