Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire experienced full time Social Worker with behavioral health experience to provide inpatient treatment for adults who experience acute mental health symptoms and substance use. Flexible shifts and flexible schedules are available.
ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL
Silver Lake Hospital is a brand-new state of the art inpatient dual diagnosis program. The new acute inpatient dual diagnosis program provides inpatient treatment for adults who experience acute mental health symptoms and substance use.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Inpatient Social Worker provides basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention short-term therapy, and provide information and referrals as needed. Supervises and directs communications and involvement with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities/organizations. Ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with DNV standards, CMS, state health department, and all other regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure by the State of NJ. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is required. LCSW Preferred (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
- Master's Degree in Social Work. Minimum of (4) years experience as a Social Worker in a behavioral health environment required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Skills required: Critical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, organizational
- Ability to prioritize and work autonomously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills.
- Exhibit progressive professional development.
