What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Float Nurse position at Silver Lake Regional School District?
The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union 31 is seeking a district-wide float nurse for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Massachusetts.
- Experience as a school or public health nurse is preferred.
REPORTS TO: Nurse Leader & Building Principals
JOB GOAL: To meet students' health needs in the absence of the building school nurse
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY:
- Administers student health assessment, medication and treatments in accordance with established first aid protocol and procedure
- Administers first aid and emergency aid in accordance with established first aid protocol and procedures
- Assumes all other duties involving health related issues as deemed necessary by the building level administrator and Nurse Leader
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School year 5 days a week
EVALUATION: Job performance will be evaluated annually by the Nurse Leader
