Essential Nature of Job :

Use your knowledge of Hydraulics, Electrical wiring, Fabrication and  Component Installation to maintain maximum "uptime" in a modern sawmill facility.

A "Fix it Before it Breaks" outlook and the ability to work with and communicate with  machinery operators on a daily basis is required.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Observe machinery and ensure that it is running at it's optimum performance.
  • Improve any machinery process currently in place.
  • Use hand and power tools to accomplish installs and repairs.
  • Use cutting torches / plasma cutters and welding supplies for fabrication and repairs.
  • Assist in creating a basic maintenance plan and execute it.
  • Assist in facility start up on a daily basis to ensure a safe and productive work day.
  • Work with and communicate with sub contractors when in use at facility.
  • Clean and maintain industrial air compressors.
  • Clean and maintain industrial hydraulic pumps.
  • Clean and maintain Electric Drives. 25-200 hp
  • Clean and maintain small roll cases and live decks.
  • Work with basic controls systems to aid in manufacturing process.
