LABORER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and operate dewatering systems on construction sites. Dewatering is an essential function to ensure there is no groundwater during excavation, foundation, and utility installation.
- Install submersible pumps.
- Work around heavy equipment.
- Build dewatering systems with filtration tanks and pipes.
- Operate and refuel generators to power the dewatering systems.
- Assist other departments as needed with BMP installation and maintenance.
- Operate a company vehicle to complete job responsibilities.
CONSTRUCTION LABORER REQUIREMENTS
- High School degree or equivalent
- 6 months previous experience in construction or with a field crew
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be in good physical condition
- Must be willing to work some longer days during the busy season
- Basic knowledge of Construction site safety
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record. We cannot accept any prior DUIs.
- Work is 4 days a week for 10 hour shifts.
- Work days are 6:30 am - 4:30pm
- This position is eligible for overtime pay.
- Position requires night and weekend work. Staff is typically “on-call” for 1 weekend a month.
Upon receipt of an offer of employment, candidates must complete required drug testing and criminal background checks. All testing will be conducted by a licensed independent medical laboratory, which will follow testing standards in accordance with state law.

Silver Leaf SWPPP is an environmental consulting firm in Utah that specializes in construction stormwater management. Silver Leaf SWPPP develops Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and inspects construction sites to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Because construction stormwater pollution prevention plans are so detailed and complex, they can be difficult for a layman to understand and navigate. Yet, a mistake with stormwater planning could cost the client dearly in the form of fines and work stoppages. Silver Leaf SWPPP ensures the client has a construction stormwater general permit and that contractors are using best management practices and erosion control techniques to prevent pollutants from entering the local water supply.
