What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Administrator position at Silver-Line Plastics?
JOB PURPOSE:
To handle and process stock in a Plant Warehouse environment and verify that contents are correct and that no items are damaged. The primary duty is to maintain an efficient flow of merchandise, which involves documenting, storing, stocking, locating, and distributing stock in the plant. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety and housekeeping.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Safety: maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.
- Verify items received are correct in quality and quantity, notify appropriate personnel of any non-conformances and/or discrepancies, receive the items into inventory system and distribute items to proper personnel.
- Required to be familiar with all stock items and their location in the plant and DC; also, to be familiar with the part number system.
- Complete knowledge & utilization of the RF system and Infoflo.
- Meet department safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Required to accurately receive product with limited supervision.
- Perform cycle counts as necessary.
- Required to be reasonably familiar with all plant receiving and shipping operations and their relationship with other departments.
- Required to assist in keeping the plant area neat, clean, and in order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Requires good mobility - work involves considerable routine walking, bending, lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. or more, crawling, climbing ladders and equipment, housekeeping activities such as sweeping, etc.
- Responsible for receiving shipments in a reasonable amount of time, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certificates
· High school education, or equivalency is required.
Technical Skills & Experience
· Inventory control skills are desired
· Computer skills are expected

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Regular communication with internal and external customers regarding items being received.
Regular communication with the MSG Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other.
· Regular work indoors in an office environment with periods of sitting, as well as regular work in the facility and the shipping/receiving dock.
· May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
· Employee may be required to perform a considerable level of specific task such as lifting up to 50 lbs., muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes and visual attentiveness.
· Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, and/or other.
· Employee may experience progressive degrees of factors in the work process which may cause mental tension or anxiety (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands).
