As an Event Assistant on our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in representing our charity clients during the duration of our community based fundraising events. You will be the face of our charity clients brand, engaging with community members and potential donors to create a positive and memorable experience while generating funds on behalf of the charities we represent. This position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and a passion for our clients mission.
Event Assistant Responsibilities:
- Represent our charity partners in a professional, enthusiastic, and engaging manner to promote their cause and generate funds on their behalf
- Ensure that all promotional material and giveaways are stocked and properly displayed throughout the event
- Maintain a clean, organized and inviting event space for the duration of the event
- Actively approach community members, initiating conversations, and answering any questions they might have about our charity partners and their community driven initiatives
- Create a positive experience by being personable and approachable, fostering relationships between the charities we represent and potential donors
- Answer any questions and provide clear and concise information about our charity partners
- Participating in post-event meetings to evaluate the success of the promotion, identify areas of improvement, and discuss key takeaways for future events
Event Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in fundraising, customer service, or sales is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for our fundraising mission and goals.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
- Reliable transportation to event locations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $500.00 - $1,000.00 per week
