What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cocktail Food Server position at Silver Mountain Resort?
Job Title: Cocktail/Food Server Department: Food & Beverage Hours: Varied
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking guests' orders accurately and following serving procedures.
- Serving beverages and food items.
- Enforcing local, state and federal alcohol laws, including ID checks.
- Awareness and enforcement of alcohol cut-off procedures.
- Handling cash transactions.
- Preparing select beverages and food items.
- Setting and bussing tables, stocking service stations, greeting and seating guests.
- Maintaining the establishment's overall cleanliness.
- Using cleaning agents.
- Operating the POS System (preferably MICROS).
- Communicating menu items to guests.
- Knowledge of resort departments, programs, and activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned or needed, and assisting in other departments when required.
Requirements:
- Good math skills.
- A minimum age of 19 years.
- Ability to work on feet for most of the shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds at hip level, and frequently lifting up to 15 pounds at shoulder level.
- Positive, energetic, and helpful attitude towards fellow employees and guests.
- Familiarity with and adherence to employee handbook procedures and guidelines.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
