Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces, following established recipes and standards.
- Cooking Methods: Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods, adhering to quality control guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Perform inventory checks, complete food storage logs, and maintain accurate records of ingredients and supplies.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations and protocols.
- Timing and Attendance: Arrive on time, wear uniform, and be prepared to assist the team in meeting service goals.
- Teamwork and Initiative: Demonstrate ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Basic Skills: Possess basic written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, accuracy, speed, and teamwork skills.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; one to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook; knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures, and industry best practices.
- Licenses and Certifications: Will receive and maintain an Idaho Food Handlers Card.
