Summary:
The Security Department Manager oversees day-to-day operation of the Security Department, to ensure all Silver Reef Casino Policies are enforced and Internal Controls are adhered to. The Security Manager supervises first line Supervisors and reports to the Director of Security.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

Minimum experience is 5 years as a supervisor or above in either Casino Security, Law Enforcement, or Military.
- Post-secondary education may substitute for up to two years of the minimum work experience, with two years of education equal to one year of experience.
- A demonstrated ability to complete simple math and communicate well verbally and in writing is required.
- Must pass and maintain certifications for CPR, First Aid, AED and Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Criminal activity at or away from work may result in immediate termination.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a management level position, experience in public relations and policy development is preferred.
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Law enforcement or military experience preferred
- Formal supervisory and management training preferred
License Requirements:
- Class III Gaming License
- Washington State Driver's License and qualified for SRCR approved drivers list.
Essential Job Functions:
- Processes payroll for subordinate Officers and Supervisors on a bi-weekly basis.
- Assists the Director in the overall Security functions for the Company.
- Supervises first line Supervisors.
- Fills in for Supervisors and/or the Director, as necessary when either are on leave.
- Ensures all gaming control and Company rules, regulations and applicable laws are being enforced.
- Assists in establishing and amending operational policies for the Security Department.
- Schedules all Security Department personnel and assigns specific Security Department administrative functions to subordinates.
- Participates in hiring, training, correcting, commending, and terminating of all Security personnel.
- Must be able to assess emergency situations and direct the actions of others to ensure the safety of guests and other employees.
- Evaluates the performance of subordinates and coaches continually to improve performance.
- Acts as a liaison between the Security Department and law enforcement agencies, gaming agencies, external security service vendors and insurance companies.
- Liaison to internal departments regarding Security Department services.
- Conducts special investigations as required, with appropriate written, digital, and in-person reporting.
- Responsible for the maintenance of Security software, records management.
- Reviews and makes corrections to the Silver Reef Casino Emergency Plan.
- Makes recommendations for improving training and assessment of Officers and Supervisors.
- Reviews and approves all reports and briefs before they are distributed to various departments.
- Maintain confidentiality of trade secrets, personnel issues, and SRC guests.
Working Conditions:
- Covers for shifts for Security Supervisors when short handed due to leave or urgent situations.
- Works early or late shifts and weekends.
- Subject to receive phone calls and texts during off-duty hours.
- Works primarily on administrative duties, but is expected to respond to major incidents and may be in hot or cold and noisy conditions for extended periods.
- Occasionally working outdoors, including in hot, cold or wet weather.
- Occasionally in contact with heavy tobacco smoke, offensive odors or other hazards.
- May be required to respond between shifts to address emergency events.
