What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance Observer position at Silver Reef Casino Resort?
Summary: Provides Observation, analysis, and information for asset protection for entrances, POS’s, including all monetary areas and casino related activity.
Qualifications:
- Full time position, and candidate must be available all shifts including graveyard, weekends and Holidays when needed,
- Written and oral communication skills enough to prepare and deliver clear and precise reports to senior management regulators and courts
- Knowledge of and experience in, casino systems, and money handling to adequately detect theft, as well as compliance with federal and state gaming regulations, in addition to compact, internal control submissions and casino procedure fundamentals.
License Requirement:
- Class III Gaming License
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure Surveillance Department’s compliance with internal controls and departmental procedures.
- Reports on non-compliance with internal controls, and company procedures by all other departments.
- Writes comprehensive reports and logs.
- Assists Surveillance Supervisor with departmental administrative duties as required.
- Maintains an effective relationship with Tribal and State Gaming Agents.
- Cooperates with other department managers on matters of mutual concern.
- Cooperates with local law enforcement in the prevention and reporting of criminal activity within the gaming facility.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Observe and protect assets
Physicial/Mental Requirements:
- Capability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to effectively work in a confined and low-light environment
- Ability to lift upwards of 25-50 lbs.
- Vision sufficient to accurately view activities displayed on small video monitors
- Adequate Manual dexterity to effectively operate all surveillance equipment
- Ability to stay alert at all times
- Must have the ability to work 12-hour shifts if necessary
- Must adhere to strict sanitary requirements
Working Conditions:
- Smoke Filled or secondhand smoke
- Small, confined work area
